The Morning Coffee........Working For The Weekend

meh. bored at work again. had errors with the software, then errors with the test stations, but all of that's fixed now. so it's back to sitting on my ass all day.

the fact that the title of this thread is an obvious reference to Canadian rock legends Loverboy makes me happy. [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/music.gif[/img]

and oddly, I now have a need to listen to REO Speedwagon... [img]confused.gif[/img]

Man.... I should have started the coffee before I went to bed. [img]tongue.gif[/img] The bar where I like to sing Karaoke usually runs officially until 1:00... sometimes when the crowd is really digging the music, we'll run over a bit.

People started requesting songs... so I ended up singing until about 3:00 a.m.

Some of the songs I sang were:

December 1963 (Oh What A Night)
It's My Life
Black
T.N.T.
Bohemian Rhapsody
Deja Voodoo
Babe
Dirty Deeds

... but one that went over surprisingly well was "Love Will Keep Us Together" (Captain and Tenille). [img]tongue.gif[/img] Basically, I was challenged to see if I could make that song rock... I basically did it in a Bon Scott/Jon Bon Jovi style and the women really enjoyed it.

Hung out with the owners after the bar closed... got home at 5:00a.m.... Had to get the dog to the Kennel by 10:30. [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img]

I have no problem of "working for the weekend" as that implies you work through the week to do what you want on the weekend.

It's the "working ON the weekend" that gets me! Especially when you have already worked a full week (actually - two full weeks with the hours I cleared when I went home yesterday), and you have to log back in on Saturday!
